Luvata São Paulo’s factory was moved to a new location in December 2024. The new factory is close to the old one and features many improvements that enhance the safe, efficient, and more sustainable production of high-quality copper products.

Need for the factory move arose in 2020, when a flood struck the area where Luvata São Paulo’s old factory was located. Through hard teamwork, the factory was soon back in production without any order delays. However, the idea of finding a new location began to take root.

“Our priority was and is our customers. Even though we survived the flood, I decided then and there that we need to relocate, to ensure it never happens again. We are here for our customers and want to always be able to serve them”, explains Leticia Maradei, General Manager Luvata São Paulo.

Finding a new location for the factory near the old one, that would meet all requirements related to e.g., energy, safety and sustainability wasn’t easy. After a few years and a pandemic, the right place was finally found. Following extensive discussions, planning, governance, and logistics, Luvata São Paulo started production in the new factory in December 2024.

New, safe and sustainable space

The new factory is not far from the old location, ensuring smooth travel to work for Luvata São Paulo employees. It is brand new, with excellent safety features, and is located in a business condominium dedicated to environmental care in its operations, including adequate recycle systems and solar panels.

“The condominium first hesitated to welcome an industrial company into their concept. However, once they visited our old factory and saw our clean, sustainable and lean processes, they were impressed and signed the contract.”

Packing and moving an entire company is a massive project, but with collaboration the move was completed without problems. Every Luvata São Paulo employee played a role in the project.

Opening ceremony in a Brazilian way

To celebrate the new factory, Luvata São Paulo held an opening ceremony on February 10th, 2025. The celebrations included a plant tour and an evening party in São Paulo city center, featuring traditional Brazilian finger food, music and samba.

“We are a global but local company, and it was important for me to include Brazilian culture in the celebrations“, concludes Maradei.

The new address of Luvata São Paulo is: Rua Henry Ford, 803 – Galpão 6, Presidente Altino Osasco, 06210-108 São Paulo, Brazil.
