Alihankinta 2019 trade fair brings diverse industries together

The industrial subcontracting trade fair Alihankinta 2019 was held in Tampere, Finland, on 24–26 September. This year's event attracted 1,100 exhibitors and 17,731 visitors from nearly 30 countries. Alihankinta is the biggest industrial event in the Nordic countries, and it has been held in Tampere since 1988.The subcontracting trade fair is a place where nearly the entire Finnish Industry meets, including Luvata Pori. Luvata's stand had a team consisting of both sales and manufacturing personnel and they had a busy three days having fruitful discussions with current and potential customers and stakeholders.

According to Luvata's Product Group Manager Lari Juhela, the Tampere subcontracting fair is one of the best opportunities to meet Finnish customers and subcontractors and hear about the current business sentiment. "Even though there may be some uncertainty in the European market today, most Finnish visitors seem positive about the future and suggest next year to be similar to this year."

Lari continues that this year the subcontracting trade fair itself was very diverse. Each key industry had several exhibitors; there was a separate section for start-up companies and a specific stand for Baltic countries. "Compared to previous years, seems more postgraduates and universities have found their way to the trade fair, as well as companies from Northern Finland. This suggests that the subcontracting fair is becoming more popular and that this is an excellent forum for companies to network."

The next subcontracting fair Alihankinta 2020 will be held on 22-24 September 2020. Next year's theme is "Business from Data". The objective of this theme is to help manufacturing companies with the challenge of transforming large amounts of data into information that can be used in understanding business opportunities, increasing productivity and competitiveness. Luvata Pori looks forward to seeing you next year at Alihankinta.
