Luvata strengthens its IS/IT infrastructure

(Pori, Finland 16 April 2019) As digitalization continues to move forward, Luvata is taking steps to prepare for its increasing data transfer needs. Luvata is securing high speed, reliable and robust data connections for all its locations by strengthening its internal wide area network and by adding higher capacity internet break-outs to the network.

Data transfer requirements between internal and external sites is increasing with the implementation of modern cloud based systems for various functions and the increase of digital supply chain management interactions between Luvata and its customers and suppliers.

The new network has been designed so that new cloud based infrastructure and function specific applications can easily be implemented. Meanwhile the rise of production automation with artificial intelligence based decision making requires high speed and uninterrupted data connectivity that the new network offers.

Luvata's cyber security is being boosted by utilizing the latest technologies in the company's overall security management including enhancements in its email system. Luvata now provides the opportunity for anyone receiving email from Luvata to check the authenticity of the email. Luvata's email server address can be confirmed through its published Sender Policy Framework (SPF) record in the Domain Name Service (DNS). This blocks emails sent from unauthorized sources. Luvata wishes that all partners sending email to Luvata would authenticate their email servers in a similar way. By doing so, together we can detect and prevent spammers from sending messages with forged addresses in business communications.

All these actions better prepare Luvata in embracing this new era of digitalization, meanwhile providing the best possible service to its customers.
