Luvata's copper is used by many of the largest communications networks around the globe. Copper is indispensable in the telecommunications industry as it fulfils two purposes: it is an electrical conductor and it also works as a shielding material in cables.
Our smooth tubes for radio frequency cables are manufactured from oxygen-free copper. These tubes have high electric conductivity (IACS 100%) and are used as the inner conductors in the cables. Because of our particular production methods, we can produce the cable in much longer coil lengths than standard - up to 6,000 metres long.
You will also find Luvata’s copper in cable wrap for power cables for the telecom industry, particularly in the South East Asian market. Meanwhile, Luvata also plays a role inside mobile telephones. Our anodes are used in the electrolytic plating process for printed circuit boards. PCBs are used in phones as well as in computers, lap-tops, televisions and playstations.
