Built to last in coastal environment

Villa Luvata is our hands-on example of incorporating copper into the home, both inside and outside. This new construction home demonstrates the functional, durable and environmentally friendly applications of copper.  This house was specifically constructed on the coast of Finland to highlight copper's durability and versatility in harsh coastal weather conditions.  

Exterior

The villa's prefabricated roof system with integrated solar collectors capitalises on the sun's energy. With the solar collectors integrated in the roof, there is no potential harm from snow or theft of the panels. Even the rainwater system is made of copper combining for a pleasant visual impact.

Luvata’s façade system, made of prepatinated copper sheets makes an elegant finishing for the cladding and are seamlessly joined with wood and glass.

Interior

Inside Villa Luvata, special attention was paid towards comfort, simplicity and durability. Copper tube based drinking water and under floor heating systems offer not only comfort but also demonstrate Luvata's commitment to sustainability.

The custom-made soap stone fireplace is surrounded by blue prepatinated copper offering a beautiful centerpiece to the home. The visually appealing blue prepatinated copper, Nordic Blue, combined with the natural thermal properties of copper, results in an attractive and energy efficient living area. 

Villa Luvata showcases the architectural appeal of copper in modern construction as well as its ease of installation.
