Precision shaped, serrated wires are a Luvata Austria specialty. The serrations on two or four surfaces of the wire improve retention in a plastic substrate, bobbin or terminal board, irrespective if the pin was inserted or “molded-in”. The serrations offer an additional advantage for they anchor the magnet wire-wrap; hence the winding tension is retained. – Serrations are available with any wire profile.
