The sun can be compared to a giant nuclear fusion plant.  Every year, it supplies the earth's continents with a more than 219,000 billion kWh of energy - all for free.  Photovoltaic technology harnesses the power of the sun to transform sunlight into electricity without producing any harmful waste products. Photovoltaic power generation has become an important and rapidly growing source of energy.

The Sunwire product line in Luvata Pori (until May 2006 Neumayer in Austria) has established new benchmarks for quality and reliability. Increasing automation in module production demands the highest reliability and quality of the materials used. Luvata Pori has developed a fully automated manufacturing method to produce rolled and plated flat copper wire for use in cell- and angled connector links in photovoltaic modules.

250 MW as well as already planned increases to 500MW of Sunwire production in the heart of Northern Europe guarantees a reliable partnership. In cooperation with its customers Luvata Pori leads the way in the field of environmentally-friendly power production.
