Luvata has a wide selection of copper based alloys for resistance wire, heating and thermoelectric applications. Only virgin raw materials are used in our Nordic Ohm™ resistance alloys which means we can guarantee the industry standard +/-5 % tolerance in resistivity, excellent drawability and consistency in all properties.

Typical applications areas are electrofusion fittings, under floor heating cables, electrical blankets, under-soil heating and pipe heating.

That is the reason we have such exacting casting processes we understand that those processes coupled with our unique upcasting capabilities allows for tightly controlled chemistry resulting in the superior consistency of our wire as well as enhanced drawing performance.

Appleton produces the following alloys for the resistance wire market: C220, C240, C260, C702, C705, C706, C711, and C725.
