Nordic Green™

The bright, shiny surface associated with freshly laid copper will not remain for very long when exposed to the environment. It is often thought, for a variety of reasons, to be a disadvantage to have to wait for the natural patina to form. Therefore this patination treatment method, Nordic Green PLUS™ has been developed.

With the prepatination method various surfaces are achievable; traditional green and living 1 and living 2 surfaces. Other surfaces can be supplied if the volume and timing of the project allow.

The patinated surface layer can be delivered on the inside or outside of the coil depending on requirements. Prepatinated coils can be easily cut to desired lengths or slit to a range of widths. Coils can also easily be cut into pieces suitable for fabrication of accessories

Simple bending and fabrication of panels and cassettes can be made with the Nordic Green PLUS™ Prepatinated copper without damaging the surface. In case of minor mechanical faults or after severe bending any damaged areas can be corrected with Nordic Green PLUS™ gel.

The prepatinated surface is hard and therefore easy to handle. Fabrication is practically dust free. Prepatinated NG PLUS can be delivered and worked with a foil coating, which protects the surface against storage and handling damage.

Dimension range:

from 0,50 mm up to 1,5 mm thick material, widths up to 1000 mm, in coils of max 4 tons. Sheet lengths supplied as requested. Nordic Green PLUS™ gel is still available as a postpatination process, e.g. for objects where demanding fabrication cannot be avoided.
