Wire Wound Components

Due to the increased demand for mobility, telecommunications acquired a role of ever increasing and central importance for our technological future. Telecommunications largely utilizes surface mounted components. The contact pins of these components may have rectangular or square profile. Irrespective of the contact shape a co-planarity of <0,1mm is required. To meet this demand, Neumayer has developed a special wire quality that ensures compliance even when multiple spools of wire are used for the manufacture of the contacts and the pins are formed into right angle, “U” or “S” shapes. The pins meet solder ability standards not only on the surface that contacts the PCB but also in the bend areas (in case of “S” or “U” formed pins).
