High Energy Physics & Nuclear Fusion applications

Luvata has participated in many international development projects, including HERA, MHD, SSC, RHIC, LHD, D0, KEK, and Wendelstein. Luvata has supplied over ¼ of all the superconductors needed for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Our highly specialty conductors are in use in Fusion energy experiments, for example, the Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Reasearch (KSTAR). We have produced technically challenging prototype wires for the upcoming Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER).
