Luvata head of metals appointed to LME copper committee

Ian Scarlett, Vice-President of Metals for Luvata, is a newly appointed copper committee member of The London Metal Exchange (LME).

The LME is the world's largest exchange for industrial metals and the world’s premier metals market for non-ferrous metals including aluminium, copper, tin, nickel, zinc and lead.

The copper committee helps the exchange navigate increasingly uncertain economic conditions, increasing global competition and stricter regulation.  Ian has over 25 years of experience in the copper industry working in copper semis, trading and price risk management.

The LME Copper contract is the second largest traded contract on the LME.

The copper committee meets next on 16 December.
