Umberto is Product Manager in Coils and Coolers Division based in Pocenia, Italy.
What is your background?
I have had a number of roles, including sheet metal numerical control machine operator, CAD 2D draughtsman, Project Manager for refrigeration products and manager of the technical department for coolers.
What attracted you to working at Luvata?
It was my first step into the world of work and I found it a new and exciting place to be.
What are your main responsibilities?
I am in charge of product development, project innovation, and research & development of new products and new production lines. I also manage marketing strategy, ensuring that the products meet customer requirements and add value. In other words, creating mutually beneficial partnerships
What do you enjoy most about working for Luvata?
I like the fact that I work with multifaceted products in a complex marketplace, which I am still getting to know. I also enjoy the opportunities for travel and sharing knowledge with different cultures that have a similar interest in the products.
What is the most important thing you have learned since being here?
I have learned from Socrates that to better oneself it is important to realise (even after years of experience) that one never knows enough.
What are your hopes for your future with Luvata?
To successfully manage and be a product reference globally, even in new markets such as the US and the Far East.
