Petri, Technical Manager
Petri is a Technical Manager working in Luvata’s Malaysia Office in Pasir Gudang. He joined the company in 1987.
What is your background?
I qualified in Metal technology / Metallurgical moulding in 1987 and went on to take further qualifications relevant to the base metals industry in 2001.
What attracted you to working at Luvata?
I joined the company over twenty years ago through its own and Pori’s technical institute. I have always found this industry very interesting
What are your main responsibilities?
I head up the technical service department, I am responsible for process and product development and I get involved with project management.
What do you enjoy most about working for Luvata?
Luvata has always been excellent for allowing self-development. I also like working with the in-house technology and great people.
What is the most important thing you have learned since being here?
Besides the many work-related learnings I have had, it has been great to see that if you put in a lot of effort and do your best for the company, management will respect this and give you further goals and opportunities
What are your hopes for your future with Luvata?
I would like to develop my technical and management skills in an international field.
What advice would you give someone thinking of applying to Luvata?
Nowadays business is tough, but if you are ready to take a challenge, Luvata is an interesting company with its very experienced staff, products and technologies all over the world. Luvata’s products will have a rosy future in a fast-developing world!
