Elina, Production Director
Elina is a Production Director for Electrical Power, Europe, based in Luvata’s Pori office in Finland. She joined the company in September 1996.
What is your background?
I studied at the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration. While studying I spent two summers working for a metal company in Germany. Then after I qualified in 1996, I joined the company.
What attracted you to working at Luvata?
I got to know the industry during my summer jobs and realised that it was right for me. I wanted to work in business-to-business marketing and in a large international company.
Where in the company are you working?
I work in Pori where I have been for almost eleven years in different positions. My career has included jobs in both sales and marketing, and I have also worked as business controller and the Head of the Superconductors unit in Pori. Nowadays I work in Electrical Power Europe, in Pori.
What are your main responsibilities?
I am responsible for production in Drawing Mill, Profile Mill and Tool services. As well as being responsible for daily production, an important part of the job is maintaining communication with other functions in the organisation.
What do you enjoy most about working for Luvata?
I enjoy the variety of the duties I have in my role, I like the international atmosphere the company has and of course I enjoy working with Luvata people!
What is the most important thing you have learned since being here?
If you try your best, you will get results.
What are your hopes for your future with Luvata?
I have just changed my job (in January) so I am happy with my current situation, but I am always looking forward to new challenges in the future.

Work hard, brush up your language skills and have an open mind!
