One of the qualities of copper is longevity, and it can be recycled almost infinitely. So, using copper means less reliance on resources which cannot be renewed.
In electrical and heat transfer applications, the excellent conductivity of copper helps in designing energy efficient equipment and systems. As the life-cycle of copper-based equipment and systems is long, their lifetime total energy consumption is low and they have a favourable effect on greenhouse gas generation.
Optimising thermal transfer allows us to improve the energy efficiency of our customers' heat exchangers by as much as 20%. Our research and development work has helped us to increase the thermal transfer properties of thin wall surface enhanced tubes by over 50%. We have also reduced the amount of copper needed in their manufacture by 20%.
