With the rise in demand for renewable power sources, the young photovoltaic market is expanding and developing in giant steps. In order for solar photovoltaic module manufacturers to keep up with demand, a move to an automated manufacturing process had become necessary.
Working closely with industry leaders, we developed flat soldering wires that apply perfectly to the bus bars of solar cells and increase the process security in automated soldering machines. This made the move to automation possible. The result is a considerable increase in the solder-joint strength, meaning increased solar cell quality in addition to improved production efficiency.
